HOWDY!
Welcome to the The Swingin' Haymakers Hootenanny Page. We started as a four- piece rockabilly swing band back in 1991. Originally founded by Bill and Kim Davis, the band gigged around New Orleans for several years before making the Nashville haul. Though the other guys still live in Nawlins, we still get together and play dates throughout the south. Please take a gander at our web-shack. We're glad to have you visit!

We were playing a show at Tipitina's one night and who should come backstage? It was Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa. They raved about our show and hung out for about an hour. It stands as one of the most exciting shows of our musical career. They were both very cool people.

Another exciting time for us is Jazzfest. It's one of the best attended festivals in the world. We always have an awesome show out there. We usually run through about 50 gallons of sunscreen, though. The year this picture was taken, 1994, we were picked by the Times-Picayune as one of the best bands at the fest - along with Bob Dylan and Marcia Ball.

Our favorite gigs are often private parties - you can cut up more and get in the punch. This was Kim's birthday fete when she accidentally turned 30.

Now the Haymakers spend a lot of time with their Hayburners. That's Willie on the left and Ringo on the right.
